Well I learned that without any definite names or dates you won't get very far in your family tree. It was neat to see photos of documents.. marriage certificates, etc. I hope that I can add some more to my tree because it is interesting to see!
when researching my family i delved more into the ancestry of my great grandparents. i found that my great grandfather's family derives from heritage in Prussia and Switzerland. upon this discovery i learned that this side of the family moved around in Indiana, Kansas, and Missouri after arriving in 1855. My great grandmother's side of the family originated strictly from Germany. Though from Germany, The "Page" family has been in the United States for just over 200 Years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! something interesting? i sure think so!!
Thing I've discovered is that I know even less about my father's side than I realized. I know what he has told me, but not much more. My mother's side of the family is a wealth of information.
History and stories sometimes do not get passed down to generation after generation, and if they do, sometimes they are lacking key names, dates, and details. I urge you to continue tracing your family tree. Quiz other family members to find out who they can recall from earlier generations. Plug those people you find out about in your tree and watch those leafs pop up! It's amazing what old records you will come across!!
