Well said teacher, well said!

"What is it that you don't see our Lord doing? Hanging on the cross sportin' shoes!"

How does this clip from "Angela's Ashes" reflect your attitude or opinions about immigrants? Society is so quick to laugh at or shame those who are the least of these, but what does the scriptures say about the least of these? How are you living the Word of God in a society where standing up for one another is most often taboo?

  1. This is so sad! I think it's a shame that people would rather dismiss than help. That being said, I don't think I'm better (I'm not). For me it is the disconnect of wanting to help and literally not having time and not knowing how. I've never understood why it's taboo to stand up for others. We're suppose to help others.

  2. I love how the teacher, in his own way, stood up for the child who was ashamed of his shoes. Sometimes we are quick to pass judgment on a person just by their outward appearance. We don't comprehend what a persons economic situation or home situation is like. Instead of harming we should help. I saw an e card on Facebook the other day that said Jesus doesn't care how many bible verses you know, He cares about how you treat people. So true :)
